Shipyard Plantation on Hilton Head Island is an 800-acre gated resort and residential community abutting the Forest Beach area.
Originally, Shipyard Plantation was the sister resort development of the residential Port Royal Resort. Beautiful landscaped grounds envelope its fresh water lagoon system which is home to ten pound large mouth bass and numerous reptiles including turtles and alligators.

Adjacent to the Sonesta, Shipyard has a private beach club, located at beach marker 72, and has reserved parking for the resort's guests.. Bicycling is very popular in Shipyard, and there are more than twelve miles of bike paths. The tranquility of Shipyard Plantation make it one of the Island's best vacation areas.
